Dear ________,

RE: Notice of termination to your employment contract

Further to our most recent consultation meeting which took place on ________, it is with regret that I write to provide you with notice of your final selection for redundancy.

Outline of the process to date

You will be aware that I commenced consultations with trade union representatives on ________ in relation to the redundancy proposals of the business.

Throughout the redundancy selection and consultation processes, careful thought has been given to all the possible ways in which the redundancies which have been proposed by the business may be minimised or avoided altogether. Your views and the views of your appropriate representatives have also been given due consideration throughout this process.

As a result of the business closure, it is unfortunately the case that there are no possible alternatives to your redundancy and as such, a final decision confirming your selection for redundancy has now been made.
