Any final selection for redundancy will be made from the department which has been described above using the following selection criteria:

________

I do wish to stress at this stage that no final decision has been made. I am aware of the importance of consulting and meeting with each affected employee individually in order to discuss matters.

I would be grateful if you could please confirm whether the above time and date is suitable for you by no later than close of business on ________. I would also be grateful if you could confirm the name of any person who will be accompanying you to the meeting by this date. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you require any specific adjustments to assist your attendance at the meeting.

At the meeting we will discuss the above proposals in detail and you will be provided with the opportunity to ask any questions, raise any issues and make any suggestions in respect of the proposals set out in this letter. In particular, I intend to cover the following topics:

(a). Further discussions about my reasoning for proposing a compulsory redundancy within the business (and answering any specific questions you may have about this).

(b). Views which you may have regarding the ways in which the compulsory redundancy may be avoided, including discussions about alternative employment within the business.

(c). Further information about the decision to make the redundancy from the department which has been described above, why you have been deemed at risk of redundancy and answering any further questions you may have about this.

(f). Discussions about the anticipated terms of any redundancy.

(g). Any other issues or questions which you may wish to raise.
